Anti-Etch · Hard Sealer · Stainproof Countertops
MarbleBLU professionally applies StainLock — the anti-etch coating, hard sealer, and stainproof sealer trusted by stone restoration craftsmen. Prepped, installed, and cured by hand, then backed by our craftsmanship.
StainLock makes marble and natural stone countertops etch-proof and stainproof — so wine, citrus, oil and coffee wipe away without a mark. The treated surface still behaves like natural stone, so it will scratch just as the stone does.
What Are Anti-Etch, Hard Sealer & Stainproof Countertops
Anti-etch coating, hard sealer and stainproof sealer are three names for the same product — the one people search under when they want a stain-proof sealer for their countertops. Unlike an ordinary penetrating sealer that merely slows a stain, StainLock forms a hard, acid-resistant barrier in a single permanent treatment, installed by hand for stone that stays exactly as it should. It defies etching and staining — and like the stone itself, it will still scratch.
A sacrificial, acid-resistant barrier that prevents the dull rings and spots acidic substances leave behind. Wine, lemon, vinegar, and tomato never reach the stone.
One of three names for the same treatment. A hard, cured film that seals the stone's surface against etching and staining while preserving its natural depth and movement. It does not make the surface scratch-resistant — the treated stone behaves exactly like natural stone and will still scratch.
An impermeable stain barrier. Coffee, oil, grease, and colored liquids rest on the surface and wipe away in seconds — no poultice, no concern.

The Difference
An ordinary sealer wears out within a year or two and never addresses acid damage at all. A professionally applied StainLock system creates a hard, anti-etch surface that keeps stone looking as it did the day it was restored — with almost no upkeep.
A flawless StainLock finish depends on prep and technique. Here's how our certified craftsmen install it — start to cured, warranted finish.
We clean the stone, remove existing stains and etch marks, then polish to a proper base for maximum adhesion.
We test in an inconspicuous spot and carefully mask edges, seams, and adjacent surfaces for a clean finish.
StainLock — the anti-etch coating, hard sealer and stainproof sealer — is applied evenly and worked into the surface.
We allow proper curing, inspect the finish, and register your Lifetime Limited Warranty with care instructions.
Most "marble sealers" are a single penetrating product. StainLock is a professional treatment known by three names — the anti-etch coating, the hard sealer, and the stainproof sealer — that makes marble and natural stone permanently resistant to acid etching and staining. The result is a surface that stays natural to the eye and the touch, while etching and staining simply wipe away. Like the stone itself, it will still scratch.
